Effective pest management
in oil seed rape

As a farmer, navigating through unpredictable weather conditions is part of the job. Earlier this year, I have faced challenges with my oil seed rape fields due to fluctuating weather patterns. In early March, it was sunny and warm in my region (Germany), and I found myself questioning the best approach for pest management in my fields. That's when I started receiving notifications from xarvio FIELD MANAGER.

1st March: Potential pest migration

xarvio FIELD MANAGER alerted me of the potential migration of pests. Following its advice, I placed a yellow trap in my oil seed rape field as a precautionary measure.

4th March: Pests discovered

After checking the yellow trap, I discovered both pollen beetles and stem weevils.

I got concerned:

Should I treat immediately or wait? xarvio FIELD MANAGER advised me to remain patient instead of reacting impulsively to resolve the situation.

13th March: No new pest migration detected

No new migrations had occurred, and xarvio FIELD MANAGER continued to recommend patience. Instead of acting in a hurry, I followed xarvio FIELD MANAGER’s insights, waiting for the optimal treatment date to ensure the best outcome for my oil seed rape field.

This proactive approach not only saved me valuable time but also prevented unnecessary expenses.
