Optimized fungicide application strategy in barley
It was beginning of April and I was thinking about my barley fields. The disease pressure was high, so I had to do something about it. I already had an early fungicide application but due to upcoming rainy period, I turned to xarvio FIELD MANAGER to see what my next steps should be.
April 6th: Early fungicide application
At the beginning of April, I had an early fungicide application due to high disease pressure and rapid plant growth in my barley fields. However, the rainy days that followed anticipated the end of the application’s effect and required me to consider one of the following approaches.

Evaluating the decision
I took the another look into the details. The analysis confirmed that the risks remained low in the last two weeks and that waiting was the right decision. I could plan my final application properly and have an action window of three days.
